"BE A CLOWN" by Rich Lalama
Cole Porter once sang "Be a clown, be a clown, all the world loves a clown."  I never grew up wanting to be a clown.  Never thought about it until now.  One of my quirks for a long time has been "spreading Love around the world one hug at a time."  I hug everyone that wants or needs a hug.  It just seems to lift the spirit.  Doesn't a clown make the world a better place - one smile at a time? Doesn't a clown spread happiness - one giggle at a time?  I can think of very few things in life that are as uplifting as children laughing.  There is no better music that can be played - even by the most accomplished orchestras.  One of the finest entertainers in history, Red Skelton said, "God's children and their happiness are my reasons for being."  I cannot think of a better purpose in life than helping to make someone's (child or adult) dream come true, paving the way with Hope, Hugs, and Happiness.     

            If having fun and spreading joy and laughter is an interesting and inviting idea for you, why not think about becoming a Clown?  It might be a little work, a little embarrasing, a little awkward, and a little something else, but it surely is very rewarding and it sure is a lot of fun.  If you need more encouragement, let me know, I can give you a hug and everything will be all right.

Our mission is:

·         To brighten the day of those in need of a lift by means of pure silliness and fun;

·         To increase public awareness of the Moose Fraternity, it’s purposes and accomplishments;

·         To provide additional incentive within the Fraternity for current members to advance to the Moose Legion;

·         To create a new outlet for Moose Legion members, and their families, to “do some good thing for someone each day;”

·         And to promote camaraderie through FUN!
